The amp is most likely OK.  This is pro gear  but, it can be used for the home.  Pro gear has higher fan noise also wihich some fine objectionable.  An I Nuke DSP amp for the same or less would be a better choice.  You could also put the money toward a good avr with the extra bells and whistles.  HDMI is also on the avr and room correction software.

Has you can see I have the RF 7's and use an Acurus amp 200 watts.  My Pioneer Elite is rated 140 watts and to be honest, it can drive the RF 7's without a hiccup just like the power amp.  I have said before that I most likely could get by without a power amp but, I like them.  For 2 ch. listening you may not need an amp because the 7's will not need all that power to get to ear bleeding levels.

The thing with using pro gear is voltage mismatch with some avr.  Do you use a sub?

"Tempestious1" (sic), would it be too "snarky" to ask for a period--just once in a while to help the comprehension . . . .?

Don't mean to offend, but it may keep a reader from having to reread your comments to make sure he is understanding your question/comment.

Thanks.

Just snarky enough :-))

If grammar, syntax and spelling rules were enforced,  we would lose a lot of valuable contributions; it would become a desolate place.

$8 Panaflow Fan swap and you are ready to go.

The 2402 needs 1.5v to drive to full power.  The 1602 needs 1.2v.
