Mystery
I just got a pair of Heresy HOO with risers. Few nicks and scratches but overall look very nice, much better than the HBR I had before. When are these Heresy HOO manufactured? From the serial number, looks like 1985. Thanks

Mystery
Okay thanks. That's what I though. BTW, these sound much better than the HBR I had before. HBR sounded so bad that I sold them within a week. They were harsh and no bass whatsoever. Not sure if HBR were having crossover issues or these HOO are upgraded. These HOO sound much better, smooth and while bass is still less but not lacking. Is there anyway to tell if tweeter/mid is upgraded looking from outside? Here are tweeter and mid pictures:
Frzninvt
Those were probably some of the last series I's to leave the factory. The Heresy II came to be in the same time frame. They will have a composite K-701 horn and the newer K-52 midrange driver. Most likely the K-22-R woofers, but they still have the K-77M tweeters. They will have the E-2 crossover network. They are slightly improved over earlier versions. Edited October 29, 2014 by Frzninvt

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk May be slightly due to oak but what I hear is a whole lot different. Could be new mid, woofer and crossover on the later model Heresy's.
