blindman Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) The shame of it all is this - young hipsters purchase these turntables - not knowing that they are crap. Then they decide that based upon listening to these crappy turntables - that all turntables - and vinyl - sound like crap. Notice that the specifications for these turntables (the Audio Technica excepted) do not mention any of the common aspects for quality turntables such as: - brand/type of cartridge - brand/type of stylus - speed control tolerances - type of drive (direct motor or belt) - wow and flutter The specs don't mention these aspects because the consumers being targeted do not know what specs to look for - or care to know.
