Scrappydue
Yep. That's what I remembered but was 100% on the wording so didn't wanna say something false. Knew it had something to do with going to low? Lol is there such a thing.
Paducah Home Theater
Knew it had something to do with going to low? Lol is there such a thing. Kinda sounds like more than anything it isn't exactly really efficient at the kind of frequencies that mobile bass heads enjoy, and won't take the kind of power it would take to compensate for that. Its probably made for super low stuff that doesn't typically exist on music that gets played on a beastly car audio system. Sounds more like a warning that you'll be disappointed if you use them in a car for this purpose, not due to excessively loud low stuff, but due to weaker bass-head content. fuzzydog
They now also have a 12" version of this driver for sale. http://stereointegrity.com/product/hst12-12-subwoofer/ I didn't notice before how heavy the sucker is...78 lbs! I'd worry about mounting it to a MDF baffle with just a few screws.
Scrappydue
Prolly has 8-10 screw holes. Wouldn't be a problem to hold a few hundred pounds with that amount of screws.
CECAA850
Nutserts and a double baffle. It's not going anywhere.
fuzzydog
I'm just itching to build a small powerful sealed subwoofer to replace my Emotiva 12". I need to stay small because it needs to hide behind a chair in the corner of my family room.
