maseline_98
I need to have them at least 3' tall in order to make them over the seating.
CECAA850
If you're using them for surrounds, they should be about 2' over the ears of the listeners while seated.
Cosmic_surfer
If you look on the back of said rs-7 you will notice a keyhole mounting bracket. Find a stud in the wall and place at desired height. When you take then down, fill screw hole with a little putty and paint over. Pretty easy.

Kman
I made these a few years back and they worked out great. I have had since sold the RS7's.
CECAA850
Beautiful craftsmanship Kman. I can't help but think they'd be to heavy or tip prone, especially in a house with pets or children.
Sancho Panza
Little heavy test fishing Line could easily secure them...
Kman
Beautiful craftsmanship Kman. I can't help but think they'd be to heavy or tip prone, especially in a house with pets or children. thanks, I would imagine a cat might be a problem ( I don't have any pets). they were in good locations behind chairs and are pretty beefy so they worked out real good. I was lacking side walls in my living room location so had to do something. If building I would just make the bottom plate wider if you have the room- makes it that much more stable. I mighty have gone a bit high too. So many options you could build just looking around home depot. to get ideas.
hydro_pyro
I built a couple of these for my RB's, but now they hold a pair of RS instead. I needed them to clear the tops of the furniture, but the RB's were too tall to give good vertical horn coverage, so I switched them out for the surrounds. Obviously based on a popular existing design...
hydro_pyro
I ripped a channel down the back of one leg, them ran a teardrop cutter bit down the channel. This allowed some ProCo 14ga speaker cable to "snap" into channel snugly. Hidden wires.
