Tom Adams
Here's one for you guys.... A law is passed that only allows a person to own one album (CD). So the music police show up to confiscate your collection. Which one do you keep and why? Tom Adams
Mike Lindsey
Good question, Tom. For me it's Miles Davis' Kind of Blue with Al Dimeola's Elegant Gypsy a close second. I never get tired of either of these. Look forward to seeing some of the other responses... Mike ------------------ My Music Systems
BBB
One that was made in the White House basement. P.S. T2K
Peter Frampton DTS DVD. I'm not a guy that dwells on the past, but I enjoyed his music in the early seventies and I still like it in the late late forties (mine). I like the disc better with each play. gary101050
Pink Floyd Pulse-Live 2CD set done in 1994 in a London Concert. Although Roger Waters was gone, the music is still incredible. A full 2hrs &25 minutes of their best music including the complete Dark Side of the Moon. Also, just received a VHS of this show as well thru an ebay purchase. Did not know this video even exsisted. Watched it last night with my system. In friggin credible. Sat there in the chair mesmerized. Their trademark light show extravaganza was a sight to behold, indeed. My wife came in the room and asked why I was listening to that again. I said no I wasn't listening, I was watching. She proceeded to sit next to me and watched as well. She was impressed. Tough thing to occurr for a person who only likes newer top 40 and middle of the road. I also have the VCD coming to me as well. There is no DVD available as yet. SCOOTERDOG
Gary, I also own Pink Floyds Pulse. Except I have it on laser disc. The picture is fab let alone the digital sound. Keep checking ebay for this on laser disc, they are out there. I bought mine new and would never give it up until... It is released on DVD, which is supposed to happen. Tom Adams
I'm shocked!! I coulda swore this topic would generate more dialog. : Ok - since I started this thread, lemme answer my own question.... If I could keep one one album/CD, it would have to be KC & the Sunshine Band - Greatest Hits. Tom Adams
cluless
I believe that you asked a pretty impossible question... Hell, I couldn't pick a music genre, or even a decade to choose from.... I WANT IT ALL.... Wheeee....
Audible Nectar
I think the reason this thread is getting so few replies is because it's just like Lays potato chips: "betcha can't pick just one"! So I won't - I'll pick five titles (no special order). I can't play by the rules, so I'll ignore them, hehe! 1. The Who - Quadrophenia 2. Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti (especially disc 2) 3. Pink Floyd - Meddle 4. XTC - Black Sea 5. The Beatles - Abbey Road Plus, room must be left for the following live shows: 1: Grateful Dead: 5-8-77 Barton Hall, Cornell University, Ithica, NY 2. String Cheese Incident: 8-7-01 Mt Shasta Ski Park, Mt Shasta, CA 3. Phish: 12-6-96 Alladin Theatre, Las Vegas, NV Keeping anything less means serious resistance
cluless
Now that the rules are broken...can I pick ...like 50? That should do it for a "bare bones" selection. But Less is still gonna maintain the stash....(TPG - Remember - crabcakes...LOL.)
