The History Kid
Seems whenever I go to reply to one of my threads, I get kicked back with an Error Code 500. Was a good thing I saved my post first, or else I'd be grumpy! lol Chad, are you playing with the site again?
USNRET
Was doing that one one computer at work but not another (on a different net). Home is work, iPad working.
The History Kid
Interesting, removing an italics BBCode seems to have loosened it up. Was odd that it was only doing it for one post. That's a new one for me though, BBCode shouldn't lock a page up. :s
wvu80
No error codes on my end.
mungkiman
Is that the same error that arises when someone adds a space after a link? That's been a problem in the past, and my understanding is that Chad has software in place to check for "broken" links 4-6 times a day... Administrators Chad Posted March 20, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 20, 2015 Chad, are you playing with the site again? Nope. Interesting, removing an italics BBCode seems to have loosened it up. Was odd that it was only doing it for one post. That's a new one for me though, BBCode shouldn't lock a page up. :s If you had cut/pasted from somewhere else, it could have been some other encoded character causing an issue. Seems isolated to that post. Is that the same error that arises when someone adds a space after a link? That's been a problem in the past, and my understanding is that Chad has software in place to check for "broken" links 4-6 times a day... Not the same error - and I had to remove that auto-check many months ago because there were some undesirable side-effects. So, I just have to manually fix things from time to time. Hopefully if/when we upgrade the board software to the new version coming out that'll go away.
The History Kid
Nope, it was a post I typed up myself. And like I said, when I removed the italics code, it worked just fine. Was odd.
