tidmack
Please see details in the post below. I've toyed with selling these subs for about 6 months, but have remained firm on my price. Unfortunately, I don't have any room on these and I'd like to stay firm at $2,000. I guess I've figured I'll just keep these If I can't get my price. Quite simply, these subs have been babied in a 2 channel system since I bought them new. They keep up with my K-Horns and sound absolutely ridiculous with a pair of Heresys. Give me a shout if you're interested. Jeff Edited October 23, 2015 by tidmack
tidmack
I think it's time to let someone else enjoy this really nice sounding subwoofer setup. I have two KW-120 subs and one KA-1000 amp from the THX Ultra 2 system. I bought these three pieces new and I live in a pet free, child free, and smoke free home. Nothing sits on the cabinets and the amp is in a nice open air rack, so there's no heat build-up. I used these in a stereo setup with a pair of LaScalas, then my Klipschorns. The amp volume has stayed around 1/3 or so, as I used these subs to just fill in the low end of heavy bass. I doubt these have ever been played to their full potential. Note the photo with the one nick in one cabinet. That seriously is the only flaw on these pieces. There sincerely isn't another scratch, rub, snag on a grill, etc. Please don't ask me about the nick...I did it and I honestly don't want to talk about it. I have the boxes and I'd consider shipping these, although I'm not excited about it. If you're in WI, MN, ND, SD, IA, NE, IL, or the St. Louis area, Spee Dee Delivery could get these to you really reasonably. How reasonably? I bet around $100 or so. Local pickup in Oak Creek, WI. I'm an hour north of Chicago, 5 hours from Indy, 5 hours from Detroit, 5 hours from St. Louis, and about 5.5 hours from Minneapolis. I'm looking to get $2,000 for everything. Shipping would be at the buyer's expense. Thanks for looking. Jeff Edited October 23, 2015 by tidmack

tidmack
I'm sensing some sarcasm! I'm a high school teacher and always harp on my students to use a professional font, so "Comic Sans" is off limits. I thought it was more laid back than our typical, boring ariel, but I started to second guess it as being non-professional. If anyone is interested in the subs, but wants me to change the ad font before purchasing, let me know! :D I have a pallet here at the house I can strap all three boxes to. If you're in Spee Dee Delivery's drop off zone, this is a good option. I shipped a pair of LaScalas to South Dakota last year for $230. Moderators Youthman Posted April 7, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 7, 2015 I'm sensing some sarcasm! Sorry Jeff....there was some sarcasm but that's because when I originally made my comment about "Nice font", I was looking on my phone and it actually renders in cursive (see attached screenshot below). Your font is fine. Guess the Safari browser on my phone does not have the same font that you chose so it substitutes the font for another one. No worries sir. Regardless of what font you chose, your speakers rock and someone will be super happy to own them. If anyone is interested in the subs, but wants me to change the ad font before purchasing, let me know! :D That's hilarious.
tidmack
I love the cursive font. They don't teach cursive anymore in WI, so the kids don't always know what a Q or Z is!
Moderators Youthman Posted April 7, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 7, 2015 Sad but true here in Florida as well. My 16yr old can only write his name in cursive (and poorly too).
opusk2k9
They are great subs, I have some. If someone wants a full THX Ultra 2 set, I have (3) KL-650 and (4) KS-525 I can sell and I am about 90 min from tidmack Good luck with your sale. tidmack
Thanks, Opus. I have some flexibility on these subs, so if someone is interested, but needs them shipped, let's work something out. I looked the boxes over last night and the sub boxes are literally 2X the size, so I'm pretty confident they'll ship safely. This is not a fire sale and I'm not in financial trouble, but it's time to move some of these speakers...
docjj1
tidmark, Are you willing to part wth the amp only, or do you plan to sell all three items as one sale? I am interested in purchasing a replacement KA-1000 for my system. Thank you. docjj1

The boxes will Hold up great as long as everything is packed back up good and some little punk doesn't tend to them with ups or fedex. tidmack
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Scrappy. The boxes for the subs and amp are HUGE, so I too thought they could handle a trip without issue. Jeff Thanks, Opus. tidmack
docjj1, I appreciate your interest. I'd like to keep them as a set, at least for now. If I get an opportunity this weekend, I may go to eBay with these 3 pieces to see if there's some interest there. Thanks again. tidmack
I am willing to sell these phenomenal pieces for $2,000, no less. Please remember that this setup is $4,500 + tax new. If not sold in the next week or so, they will go to eBay. Thanks again for looking.

tidmack
Bump. These need to find a home where they're used more regularly. Jeff
tidmack
I had a couple members PM me about why I haven't listed these on eBay. It's weird that there's a bit of sentimental value with subwoofers, but I've really enjoyed owning these, so I'd rather see a forum member or local buyer purchase them. Thanks again for the interest, I appreciate the positive feedback with these nice sounding subs! Jeff
