dks5276
Has anyone ever put these side by side in the front? if so do you run them all as fronts on AVR or as Fronts and rears?
fuzzydog
Does your receiver allow you to designate one pair as front wides?

Are you wanting to run these speakers in a home theater setup or more of multiple pairs of stereo speakers? Bill
dks5276
Home theatre use only
willland
Home theatre use only I guess you could run the speakers in "All Channel Stereo". I watch broadcast TV(Dish Network) in NAD's version of all channel stereo which is called "Enhanced Stereo". Bill
Scrappydue
Not sure why anyone would want to do this unless you had a pair of speakers for 2 channel and then different ones for ht. However, the 83'snare better speakers so I'd let them shine up front all on their own. Put the 82'd as surrounds or bathroom speakers or something

Put the 82'd as surrounds or bathroom speakers or something only reason is because we might rearrange furniture and dont have anywhere else to put them unless we keep the same then i can keep them behind the couch still off to the sides
derrickdj1
Don't run 2 right and left front speakers. No benefit what soever
robbiey60
I had these speakers like this solely as a comparison when I upgraded to rf83. The rf82 are excellent as surrounds which is where you should keep them. If for whatever reason you are to re-arrange the furniture so you can no longer accommodate them maybe consider dropping down to a 2ch setup as the 83s are awesome for music.

Nice pic robbie60...keeps things in perspective. The RF-83's are impressive looking speakers.
