How To? My wife wants to

use a hand held microphone into her Win 10 laptop and sign along with You Tube videos (I think I would use a Bluetooth speaker). I don't think you could do this but please correct me. Could you set the recording device to mic and playback to the BT speaker and watch the video with sound? Meh, my brain says no.

I assume you could watch the video (w/o sound) and  hear herself...cough, cough....sing.

She doesn't want a major undertaking to do this as everything must be simple as on/off buttons on electronics are challenging (but she is pretty ).

I have an Emo mini-x amp that includes a preamp section and some Klipsch KG-1.5s that I could try to get her to use but I question what inexpensive microphone and possibly a mic pre-amp to use in order to use the line level inputs on the Emo that has an input sensitivity of 600mV for full output at 8 ohms.

Edit: I just remembered that I have the Audyssey Pro Install kit with calibrated microphone. I'll need to check into how the mic preamp works; I think "phantom" power??

I think this will work:

Is she wanting to use the YT videos as a karaoke machine? Sort of?

Is she wanting to record herself as well?

Bruce

Yes to the first 1 and no recording.

I think I might have it using W10 mixer. I have a mic on order and will attempt mixing application sounds and microphone in and Bluetooth speaker out.
