JL Sargent
That sizes it up. I can't hardly turn down a free sub. I know these amps fail all the time. I know people attempt repairs on them but I'm thinking I'll just replace the plate amp from Parts Express or similar. . Anybody already done this here? Any suggestions on amp to use appreciated. Matthews
Yup, I did a RW-12D plate amp replacement. Used the Bash 300 with outstanding results.

JL Sargent
I have an extra KSW-12 amp but I am not sure I want to part with it. Judging by mine you might want to hold on to it for a spare! EDIT: You don't have a KSW12 amp though, do you? wvu80
If you can get into a full working Klipsch 12" sub for the cost of the $150 Bash amp, I say go for it!

Matthews
You used this one? http://www.parts-exp...0w-rms--300-750 Yes Sir, that is the one. Only had to do a very minor modification to the cabinet to get it to fit and seal. The results seemed, to me, to be an upgrade from stock. JL Sargent
I'm supposed to get the sub Friday. I'll check it out and will post my findings here.
JL Sargent
As it turned out the sub is fine. I replaced the blown fuse and turned the subs volume down from 11 to 6 and been listening now for about an hour without a single problem. Sweet!

JL Sargent
I KNOW, RIGHT! Best thing is that I didn't have to call or look for it. My buddy called and offered me the sub.
