What amp(s) if you had to decide

Yes, sorry to hear that. Always a letdown, let alone a PITA to correct the situation. I pack my sale items for worst case drops and have numerous feedback stating as much. As far as FedEx packing I recently received relatively small monoblocks pack in one huge box wrapped in more bubble wrap than I've ever seen. Built up empty boxes were used for spacers. FedEx did a great job in this instance.

Good luck --

Sorry to hear about the shipping incident.  I think that most of us have been there and done that at one time or another and you are so "amped" up to get the new part or piece of gear, that it's a huge emotional low when there's damage, or it's something that is not as described.  I'm sure that it will be made right, but it's going to cost you some time and anguish, but when you have a good amp up and running and things sound great, you will then quickly forget all of the hassle that came before that.

Well UPS did a TERRIBLE packing job and the amp is ruined. Scratches, chips, and internal pieces falling out of the amp, amp going into protection, etc. The box was 3 times the size of the amp with peanuts surrounding the amp, which was wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap and a flat piece of cardboard on top and bottom. That thing took a beating going from MD to IL.

Brother, I am so sorry to hear that. I am mad for you. Some people are just clueless. I would never let UPS/Fed Ex pack my gear for me, especially a 100lbs amp.

Notify Audiogon and the seller ASAP and provide detailed photos.

This is how you pack an amp. One of my Acurus A250's I sold to a forum member.

I notified the seller immediately and he filed a claim with UPS. I'm looking at Audiogon's site and all I see is PayPal PayPal purchase protection info. Is there something I'm supposed to do with audiogon or PayPal to protect me since I received broken equipment? I've bought tons of stuff on ebay and never had an issue like this so this is new to me and I'm not wanting to put the seller in a bad spot while he's trying to get this taken care of with UPS. But at the same time I want to make sure I don't end up out of luck with a broken amp I paid a lot of money for, ya know? Edited by boricua2480

I am sorry, I meant contact Audiogon and or PayPal as a next step if seller does not do the right thing.  It looks like he is a straight shooter and has expedited the freight claim properly.

Good luck.
