They were manufactured in 1978 (signed by Paul Klipsch), and are stained and polished walnut veneer with custom glass tops. Serial numbers are 135603/4, and they are in near-mint condition. I've remodeled my listening area (living room) and now do not have two corners in which to place the speakers. Pickup would be necessary......I've long since discarded the enormous boxes they came in. The sound they produce (powered by a Haffler amp and preamp) is magnificent.
