linus
Hi All, I 'm building soon my ATMOS HC room. My room is 29x13 and TV will be on the 13 feet wall. I'd say watching distance from TV will be 10 ft , so viewer will have behind almost 20 feet where the sound will be dispersed. What kind of speakers would you advise? Front L&R: I would go with RP280F but I'm wondering if RP260F (or 250 or even RP160) is enough considered the viewing distance? I found a package I'm tempted to buy: 1 pair of Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-280F Black 1 pair of Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-160M Black 1 pair of Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-250S Black Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-450C Black Klipsch Reference R-115SW Black Again, based on room size, would those speakers be overkill? As a receiver I'm not sure yet but I'm thinking of the Marantz SR-7011. Another question, for the ATMOS (I'm thinking of a 7.1.4) would you advise for 4 in ceiling speakers or go for RP-280FA and 2 in ceiling? Thanks in advance! Seriously, others will have to advise you regarding specific Klipsch models you referenced. My Klipsch experience is pretty much limited to the days of plywood and EV tweeters. dtr20
If you can install 4 ceiling speakers, that's the way to go. If not, then go with 2 rp-280fa speakers and maybe 2 rp-140sa atmos enabled speaker modules.
chasec2021
Ceilings over everything else for atmos speakers. Most forums and audio experts refute the atmos add on's pretty hard and advise for in ceilings if you can.
