Jeff Matthews
Have you ever heard of this? This short article on Binaural Hearing was very cool. It's a great way to give some directional separation to your tracks. Well done, it even simulates movement in space. Here is a good example. Be sure and listen through headphones. mangofirst
Well now I've gone down a bunny trail of binaural audio > VR > 3D audio spatialization. [emoji106]
Marvel
There used to be an hr long show on pbs that featured binaural recordings. Pretty cool stuff and a lot of environmental recordings. Bruce
JJkizak
The phasing even worked on my old computer speakers simulating the above over the head stuff. JJK
garyrc
What are the cues to up and down in a 5.1 system with no height channel? When watching movies, we often experience sound that seems to be coming from a height about 4 or 5 feet above the top of our highest speaker (the surrounds, with tweeters only about 2 1/2 feet above ear level). The sound "from above" mostly is along the side walls and beyond.
