Emile
Thanks to @Khornukopia , I've got brackets. Jeez ... not "German" engineering ... thought the brackets would "balance" the horns+drivers ... nah; they fall over (to the front) ... so, have to put a piece of wood on it . But ... will be GREAT! Emile
First test ... using miniDSP ... K510's (on a Marantz 1060) set to over 500Hz and Forte's (on a Kenwood KR-4070) to < 500Hz ... sounds horrible ... sounds scratchy and ill defined Hope to play with some different xover configurations tomorrow ... any suggestions? Emile
Add-on ... the 510 horns on my KPT-904's seem to have a much "fuller" sound as compared to the 510's on my miniDSP. Of course I have no clue about the KPT-904 xover settings ... anyone? Could it be that I am just way to aggressive with a >500Hz & <500Hz setting (LR filter at 48dB slope). ??????? Outrider 6
Is there more to the story? What did you do for the HF crossover? Did you feed the new horn from the HF output of the 904? I’m about to try to repeat your experiment with DE75s, a ZXPC K510 clone, and a 904 bass bin.
