Klipsch for my Tube Amp

Stefan Saliba

Recommended Posts

I'm shopping around for a pair of speakers for my 15W Valve Amplifier. Other forums are suggesting the Klipsch RB-81 II due to its sensitivity and budget price. It seems though that this model is no longer in production (although I still can find it for sale).

Am I correct to conclude that it was superseded by the R-51M ?

I have not heard them, but they look quite good on paper.  Try to hear them first.  I don't see anything else with an 8" woofer.  Be advised, they will surely go down to 44 Hz, but will require a particular placement to get it.  You might ask Klipsch how they placed the speaker when it was measured.
