DTO
Hello all! I have a textured black hiii as a front speaker. I also have some his, the cabinets are ok now but lost lots of veneer in sanding, around. I was wondering if any knows what textured black paint would match the hiii? CECAA850
I'd just use Duratex.

Yes, and you can thin it down with a little bit of water to try and closely match the other finish. There are videos out there to give you an idea on proper application. TasDom
It's been a few years since I bought some Duratex. Is it just my bad memory or did the prices jump considerably? https://www.parts-express.com/acry-tech-duratex-black-1-gallon-roller-grade-speaker-cabinet-coating--260-

Seems like that was $55.00? I've never bought a gallon though as a quart will cover any set of speakers or sub with material left over. jason str
Duratex works great without a textured roller as well for a smoother finish. A little water mixed in using a Purdy microfiber roller worked best for me if you don't like the rough finish look. Duratex dries quick enough but takes a week to cure for shipping, keep this in mind after finishing the project.
