Made those biscuits before, they are very good, it seems the trick is to baste them alot as they are cooking with butter and seasoning.

They are good, but also very crumbly. Tried a little olive oil in the mixture and it made them less crumbly but then moist and not light like buttermilk ones. We keep buttermilk here all the time now so I'll try a tbsp of that tonight, looks like dinner after dark might be playing some wild music here later🤣

That's how I make regular biscuits, just buttermilk and self rising flour in a oiled cast iron skillet, they come out fluffy and not heavy.
