One of the other guys mentioned Pioneer, Onkyo and Marantz earlier in this thread.  I grew up on a Pioneer with Pioneer speakers brought back from Vietnam by my Dad.  Don't think I'd be interested in an Onkyo.  But what do you think of Marantz?  Do you have a recommendation for Marantz?  Model and where to get a deal on one?

Well, I do like Marantz. They have vintage and tubes and modern. They are said to have a warn presentation. I agree. They have made some nice equipment. Yamaha is  similar and nice old and new.

Do you require an integrated with subwoofer output?

I could go with or without a sub output.  I don't watch a lot of movies and I don't have a sub.  I've also had a Yamaha home theater when I was into watching a lot of movies but I sold it.  I did like the Yamaha though.

You might want to call Cory he is a dealer from forum. He might have a returned unit you could get. Wd40 is NOT the same as Deoxit. Not sure why you would not get Onkyo since they make Integra also . If your doing 2  channel only I would go for vintage receivers. If your looking for AVRs there should be sales on now. try ...Nebraskas furniture mart.....amazon.  https://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-SR494-Receiver-Ultra-Dolby/dp/B07SX61VNT/ref=sr_1_19?crid=2O4HP1FOYNDAA&dchild=1&keywords=av+receiver&qid=1607430054&sprefix=AVR+reciever%2Caps%2C440&sr=8-19

Spend more money on speakers the Klipsch are very efficient so dont need huge power. I run Klipschorns with 24 watt HK 430 from the 70s.  I also own a Integra AVR that is a breeze to set up. Compared to what my sons have experienced from Denon. Not saying Denon is bad company I just would not buy one.

Which receiver / amp do you recommend for these speakers?

Let's think about what a receiver really is.

A preamplfier, amplifier, tuner, and sometimes a gimmicky processor. All of this shoved into a single box that weighs around 25-30 lbs. A good preamp alone can weigh this much.

And usually the max power rating is stated at a single frequency (1Khz). Compromises are made. Sound quality takes a back seat to convenience in most instances.

Not sure what your budget is, but I like something like this

Or this

That gives you a pretty good range.

If you read my post - both WD-40 Contact Cleaner and Deoxit were used on the Denon.  Neither fixed the problem.  I'm not a fan of Onkyo or Integra.  I'd be interested in Marantz, Yamaha, or Peachtree.  Since for the first time ever I'm hearing negative feedback about Denon.  I've also heard that the same people who make Denon also make Marantz.  My focus right now is replacing my Denon and using my current Klipsch speakers. By the way, what is it about Denon that makes you all on these forums anti-Denon anyway?

So, I think I've decided on MARANTZ.  Is there anyone who would recommend a Marantz integrated amp that would pair well with my speakers?  I would greatly appreciate it.  Keep in mind that my preferred way of listening to music is primarily via TIDAL.  I'd also like some feedback on using HEOS vs Chromecast Audio.  Thanks to everyone who has contributed to my thread.  I greatly appreciate it!
