The email one has much better information and details, should be the original article I believe from 1951 for hifi not guitar amps.

I had never heard of it before you brought it to my attention. I’m fascinated by the concept. Good stuff.

henry4841
Hey guys I am posting this here being that the Sweetie thread is well the Sweetie thread but there has been talk of getting more power out of the 6Y6 tube and here is what I found on another forum for a 5 watt 6Y6 tube. What do ya'll think of it.
henry4841
Supposed to be an error in the above schematic. Here is the corrected schematic. I deleted the error schematic above.

Looks like a decent design. 6Y6 w/ regulated screen grid. Probably sounds good. I don't think the screen needs that elaborate of regulation to sound good, but maybe there was a certain intent in this design.
henry4841
I found it interesting but not something I will probably build ever though I love the sound the 6Y6 tube. I just do not think any more power than 1 watt is needed with Klipsch speakers. That is with a sub for those that put a lot of emphasis on bass. I am not so sure one can coax 5 watts out of that tube either but that is what the designer said. Can't believe everything you hear on the net though.
