Ghen Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Hello, I see The Fives emit a white noise like an interference typical of 50$ speakers, there is any way to eliminate it? I'm using it with eARC-HDMI connection. A part of this, I feel their sound a bit muffled and closed, There are any equalitzation to improve it, at this moment I set bass: -1, mid: +3, trebble: +2 and it improved a bit the sound but I think they can offer more. There shouldn't be white noise. Try to track down the cause and eliminate it, rather than filter it out. Check volume settings of your sources. 1 Quote
the real Duke Spinner Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 A shotgun might fix that permanent One bang And then .. Quiet. 😀 Quote

Check volume settings of your sources. The only form to reduce it, is lowering the volume in the remote control. By the way, there is a little white sound that I can't never eliminate I have these speakers connected to my TV via eARC-HDMI and my TV is connected to the PC via HDMI 2.1 1 Quote
M_Klipsches Posted October 22, 2022 Posted October 22, 2022 There’s something wrong. Unplug everything, eliminate the chance that a source is causing the problem. Then switch cables, maybe you’ve got a bad cable? Try plugging them into a different outlet, on a different circuit. If none of that sorts it I’d contact Klipsch, if they are still under warranty. There really shouldn’t be noise coming from those speakers. Quote
grindstone Posted October 22, 2022 Posted October 22, 2022 Make sure that if any wires have to cross anything else that there's space and crossing happens at right angles where possible. Also try it from a temporary extension cord to an outlet on a different leg of your electrical to rule that in/out quick, too. World is full of hash... Quote
Ghen Posted October 23, 2022 Author Posted October 23, 2022 I read in internet there are too many people with this white noise, they said the only way to reduce it is lowering the master volume because it is a problem that all The Fives have cause their amplification, it is true? Your Fives have 0 white noise? I tried other cables and outlets and the white sound is always there, I can reduce it lowering the master volume but never I can eliminate it. Quote
MBmadison Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 (edited) I have my The Fives wired directly to a Brennan B2 with a high quality aux cable. The speakers emit white noise constantly and have always sounded absolutely terrible. I have updated to latest firmware etc. Also connect to LG tv for sound when viewing tv and the sound is just awful, white noise. When I use the Klipsch eq app and turn bass and mid completely down the high is just white noise at all levels like the horns are completely blown; but that’s not the case as they have sounded like this from day one. Really disappointed in these speakers. Edited August 17, 2024 by MBmadison Quote
Purplecow Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 I'm betting the underlying problem is a grounding one. Probably have two or more electrical sources on different phases in the room(s) your equipment is in. It's quite possibly grounding itself through the HDMI shield or the aux shield and that trace current is getting amplifier internally. Try unplugging the HDMI and using just aux or something else for a source. Then try unplugging the aux and using just hdmi. If it ever goes away you may need to try to get all the av equipment on the same wall in the outlet. Let me know if that doesn't (or does) help That's one of the few positive things about Bluetooth audio, much fewer ground loops. Quote
