YK Thom
With any luck someone will recognize them. Some serious Klipsch hardware inside them.
vmags
So I finally found reference of 2R crossovers that are in my speakers. Now I am wondering if my speakers are actually cornwalls or shorthorns instead of Hersey. They are also larger than the Hersey I have owned in the past. I have all the same components except I have the EV 12 inch SP12 woofers instead of 15 inch that are in this post: https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads%2Fcornwall-ii-from-1968.119978%2F&fbclid=IwAR1B4PvkINBZmJE5E4bdQatc94-clKa578TzPDZEr0tstq0MK9aejhpvJW4 Bob Crites commented this: Really hoping Jim responds with more insight on my speakers. vmags
I guess this is looking like a dead end. The 2R crossovers are leading me to think these are a kit build shorthorn. Guess I may never known. Lol

Lol it's very hard to pinpoint the parts from 1 speaker to a custom cabinet , because back in those days , you could buy parts from klipsch and make your own set of speakers 1st possibility........ parts were purchased from klipsch to build a custom speaker using genuine klipsch parts , the 2R crossover was used in 12 inch and 15 inch cabinets . the rest of the parts were mostly used on the H-700 . I would rule out the Shorthorn because of the SP-12 Cast woofer . 2nd possibility is parts were swapped from 2 sets of klipsch speakers .the H-700 and Cornwall II Vertical speaker - the woofer-midrange driver and k-1000 horn + the tweeter are from the H-700 1967-68 . -the crossover 2R is from a 1967-68 Cornwall II ( Vertical ) . Thanks for the ideas. I was under the impression that shorthorn or a shorthorn kit could be ordered with the 12 inch electro voice sp-12 drivers??? Correct , but this would refer to an SP 12 steel basket versus the SP 12 Cast woofer . I've never seen a Shorthorn with a Cast metal SP 12 woofer , these were mostly seen on the Model H 1957-67 or the H-700 from 1967 through 1972 and the Heresy starting in 1973 through 1975 , same thing for the Alnico k-77 with the Golden painted cover, the Shorthorn k-77 had a grey or burgundy cast cover . That's why I am assuming that the parts of your Speakers were purchased between 1957 and 72 , the Heresy came out in 72-73 with the K-700 metal horn whereas you have the k-1000 metal horn which was also used on the 1957-67 Model H and the 67-72 H-700 , Most Shorthorns I've seen were equipped with the steel basket SP 12 series woofers , the K-55V , K-1000 horn and the grey or burgundy cast cover k-
