joeward
I guess the Emotiva Bas X A2 is too new for many people to have owned one yet. Can't find many reviews on line. Anyone own one of these amps? If so, how do you like it?
Bubo
Affordable quality amps is EMOs claim to fame. Haven't heard it. When I search e-bay I don't see a lot of EMO gear for sale My guess is that people like it. I believe they have a 30 day return policy, but verify it first. good luck Robinson does fair reviews Class AB " Natural Human Voice" the biggie for me Does the girl sound like a girl..... A2 has good specs, and good price point IMHO http://Emotiva Bas X A2
joeward
Finally got my hands on an Emotiva to try out. Found a used A300 for sale at a bargain price so I thought why not try it out. Been listening for a few days and IMO they sound pretty good. A decidedly neutral amp with plenty of detail. It's not real heavy in the bass.......not a heavy bass hitter like my Harman Kardon PA 2200. But the bass is solid. The midrange is really good and the treble sounds right to me. Runs cool as a cucumber even with 4 ohm speakers. For the $275 clams I paid I'm happy. Now to see how it holds up.
billybob
Steve Guttenberg recently did a comparison with a similar priced, Dayton HTA100 hybrid. Enjoy!

Moderators dtel Posted June 22, 2023 Moderators Share Posted June 22, 2023 I use an older version, the inside looks quite different. Started using them when the amps I was using started humming and didn't know what I wanted, just temporary. Ended up liking them and still use them today. Cheap yes, but completely quite and this is with horns well over 100db with one watt. The sound is good and 50 wpc is more than I use or need.
