Harleywood
Would like to check the drivers on my CF-2s. Drivers are k-1029 8". Anyone know what ohms they should measure?
Peter P.
Any chance the resistance is printed on the magnet? Otherwise, if the speaker's resistance is printed on the label on the back, I'd expect each driver to be close to that number. If you're just concerned you might have a bad driver, just compare one to the other. The bad one will read either a short or open.

HiFi Heaven
DC Ω resistance is ALWAYS less than AC impedance, sometimes a lot less. Quick test: swipe a 9-volt battery across the terminals, the cone should JUMP. Reverse the battery polarity, speaker cone should jump in the opposite direction. Use a 1.5 volt battery to test compression drivers - 9 volts might damage them.
DirtyErnie
8-ohm drivers, should meter out about 6.3 or so. maybe a bit more...
