Center speaker above TV

Hello,

In my new setting I can't install my center below the TV only above.

Are there others who have done that and is that a satisfactory solution sound wise ? ?

Our center is above the TV and angled down towards the MLP.

And the sound integrates well with picture or do you notice that it comes from 'above' ?

Because the cabinet doesn't allow it - at least not centered in the middle of the TV.

I have tried it both ways and actually prefer it above angled down. If you think about it, peoples heads are closer to the top of the screen than the bottom so this just seems more natural to me.

Actually, no. Head's are usually near the top of the screen and angling down works well.

Fwiw, having our RC-7 on top also puts the tweeters inline with the RF-7s up front. {Note: It was designed in the day when folks put their centers on top of an RPTV, so it has risers in the back.}

Used a J mount for heavy plasma on top of cabinet to create space under tv. They work very well and are inexpensive:

Under TV at ear level when sitting I’ve found best after trying above tv. I have another room with the center on top and angled down  - it doesn’t have that same impact as the room I have one centered across from the couch seating position - especially tank fire from the movie “Fury”

As you can see I cannot move the TV higher and the space below is too small for Center speakers except the really really small ones.

Looks like tv can go higher but, tv would be blocking what, an alcove/shelf?

Cannot really see what is holding tv up.

The TV stands on the cabinet below, above the white cabinet and shelf blocks upward movement.

  the only option here is to use a center above the top of the white cabinet   , but by doing so , you'll need to raise the RF-7 on stands
