prodj101
nah, thats not the biggest. Audiobahn makes a 34 inch subwoofer, and it looks like 4 times bigger than that. now that thing is pure evil

michael hurd
Clarion had a few years ago, a sub that was 30 ". I believe it was called the thunderdome. Bay City sound and vision had one hooked up for display. Btw, it played pretty low. But the cabinet they had it in was somewhere in the 20 -25 cu ft region, maybe more. Inside the enclosure was way bigger than most fridges.
prodj101
the rec. enclosure size for the 34 inch audiobahn is only 10 cubic feet.

arkain
Well the problem with huge subs they only play huge sub sonic bass. ~35 hz and below. Anything over that, they play like ****. Kove makes execellent subs, but don't believe the hype.. They dont throw 2 inches each way for a total of 4 peak xmax. it's more like 2 inches xmax 1 each way. It might have a 4 inches of mechanical xmax but in no way does that mean it has 4 inches of linear throw. If you like loud ****ty bass, get your self an audiobahn. Sure they get loud but they sound like a sloppy *** doing it. Right now the car audio sub with the most xmax(DUMAX tested) is the adire BRAHMA. http://www.adireaudio.com/mobile_audio/drivers/brahma_series.htm Check that site out and download the movies it's rather impressive. The 2nd sub with the most xmax is the Image dynamic IDMAX. And the sub that takes the # 3 slot is the audiomobile MASS.

TheEAR
RandyBay, Yes the big Kove woofer looks mean, the description is hilarious. They claim the chassis is "handcrafted",yeah sure it is. LOL And the 4 inches peak to peak is a joke, what really matters here is what is the linear travel.I am sure around 2 inches or less. Look at the spider area, woofers with extreme linear will have a spider cage like the TC Sounds built TV12. The most potent woofer on the market is the Tumult, this monster can move serious air and is capable of a very long throw. As small divers go,Sunfire(probably TC Sounds made)Super Junior and Mark IV woofers have very long linear throws(for 8" and 10" woofers). All the gigantic woofers of over 18" are jokes for wannabe gangstaz. All show and no go,they are sloppy and have no definition to speak of.Plus they cost way too much, for the same money think how many Tumults one could buy! LOL
