Glad to hear you’re doing well Craig. I listen to my 222c every week! If nobody’s reached out on the 299 you’ll be working on, I’d be glad to be in line.

Hope the healing goes quickly!

Thanks!

     Rob,

Did I do your 222C for you directly? I can't find one under the first name of Rob or Robert in my files. No0 big deal either way. If you would like me to mark that unit as your email me at craig@nosvalves.com so we can work out the details. Much rather put a forum member/previous customers name on it!

Hi Craig, I purchased it, and my 299b, separately. I sold the 222c like a moron. It appeared to have been done quite a while ago, and if I recall actually had yellow caps with your company name on them in it, but no tag as to when it was done. I know the new owner and can get a shot underneath if you want.

The 299b was done for Greg McCaughey, 10/27/2009, and I picked it up several years ago local from him as he lives close by and is an Audiokarma guy too. My problem now is that my daughter refuses to give up the 299b as it is in her room. And check this photo out: I was the first person up this weekend and was walking down the hall as the sunlight caught it....

At any rate, I'd love to get a 299b back in play!

Sincerely, Rob

I have dropped numerous hints to my daughter that she would enjoy a different amplifier, and she will not take the bait. When I went to Greg's house to demo the 299B he had it hooked up to some Cornwalls. It took me about 20-30 seconds to say "I'll take it!" True story.

Your daughter seems very wise, unfortunately for you too wise.

She’s got such a sweet set up Dr. Morbius. I totally redid a little pair of Epicure 70s for her and chipped in a Dual turntable. Now, my records seem to also be migrating upstairs😃. Secretly proud of her for picking good ones though.

Peace, Rob

Great to hear you are on the other side of the knee operation and it went well, Craig. Be careful not to jog more than a few miles at a time during recovery 😉

Also great to hear you’re wanting to get back to the soldering iron soon. Lord knows you’ve done a lot of work for me on a variety of gear through the years…And all top notch, first class work. Cheers to some good days ahead!

Craig, I am soooooo glad to learn that you are still alive and kicking?!!

I own a Scott 299-B that I use quite frequently but it has never been recapped or restored.

When you get back on your feet I would like to send it your way . . .

You asked if anyone remembered Mobile Homeless?

Well, I do!

Thanks to him, I ended up buying my fair share of EICO HiFi Components.

Such as:

Blindman,

Is your handle true? If not there must be a story behind it! If it is true, you are very resourceful!

Why don't you plan on shipping it in late February or early March. Please move this to email craig@nosvalves.com I do not want to get in trouble with Klipsch here. They may not mind as I'm not a competitor. I'm not sure who to contact about the can and can't for me. I used to be very much a preferred vendor around here. I have that No BS Paul Klipsch attitude LOL!!

PS folks my Knee has been spectacular! It's just amazing what a good Surgeon can do!!

Craig,

I'm glad that you are still around and "kickin".

Now that I am in my 60's I can relate to health issues.  I guess that I am more apprehensive than you as I don't believe that I will ever be the same as my younger days.

Well, I don't believe I'll be performing like I did in my 20's or 30's but I plan to keep busy with some work and hopefully lots of fun. As the saying goes "start living or start dying"
