filbertr
can i use my old Klipsch La Scala as the home theater system?
Moderators dtel Posted January 31 Moderators Share Posted January 31 Welcome, and YES you can. One of the best home theaters I have ever heard uses 3 LaScalas across the front. As with any HT you will need a sub that can keep up. IMO
Smitty8451
I’m currently using 3 La Scala AL5 speakers as L/C/R and a pair of Forte IV’s for surround duty. I’ve reached my endgame (well until the heritage subs come out)
babadono
Hold on a second. How many "old" LaScalas do you have @filbertr? If only 2 you will need something for the center channel. The center channel(dialouge) is quite important in HT.
Schu
Not only yes OP... HELL yes. one might even argue that that is what they were made for... Public Address and Theater/Auditorium sound.
yamahaSHO
La Scalas are very good in Home Theater. My system comes on with the TV and I use them, and the rest of the surround sound every single day. I can't imagine going back to anything else. My old living room, never mind the unfinished fireplace: New setup when we moved into the current house:
