jt1stcav
The Zephyr looks cool sitting in that warm, setting Florida sun (of course a Klipschorn would look way better had I the funds and the room). It even makes my crappy unfinished concrete floor look smooth!

jt1stcav
Thanks, Mike, they are rather humongous. I was afraid you were gonna complain about too many pictures!
jt1stcav
I've really missed not playing my vinyl collection since I sold my Denon DP-62L 'table two years ago. My dad's old '79 Technics quartz semi-automatic direct-drive SL-1700MK2 has been sitting in my bedroom closet collecting dust since '98 when he stopped using it just before his move up to CT, so it's been sitting for quite awhile (my brother did used it for a brief time last year until he bought himself a Music Hall MMF-5). Anyhow, it's been wanting to get out of that stuffy closet and make music again, so I decided to give it a reprieve!
jt1stcav
With my bro's purchase of his MMF-5, it included not only a Goldring MM cartridge, but also a Music Hall MMF-Phono Pack MM/MC phono preamp. He bought a used Audio Alchemy phono pre off eBay, so the Phono Pack sat with the Technics in the closet, that is until I resurrected it this past weekend! Since my tube linestage pre has no built-in phono stage, it seemed the lil' Phono Pack would have its day afterall! After rearranging my gear so's to fit in the turntable and phono preamp, I discovered I now needed 2 meter length interconnects to reach my disc player (sorry, Cardas). My brother had a bunch of extra, unused MagWire Naked interconnects from his HT system, and since I needed longer ICs, might as well change out all the sources with the ultra-thin OFC magnet wire (sounds fantastic; just as good as the Cardas CrossLinks they replaced).
