synthfreek
I am to the point where I'd settle for a pair of newer II's. The ones on ebay now can be shipped for $125 so I may jump on them if they don't go for too much $. Has anyone A/B'd I's and II's? TBrennan, I've also been very interested in Altec Model 19's and 14's. How do you compare them to the Cornwall?
Woodog
http://www.belgaudio.com/kcmeasurements1.htm This report was for a set of Cornwall II's. It was one of the reasons I took the 'Cornwall plunge'. Best move I ever made. I've never personally heard Cornwall II's, but I'm sure they sound sssswweeeeeeeet. forrest
jt1stcav
You would be pleased with either Cornwalls, IMO.
Gilbert
Don't let shipping kill your appetite for Cornwalls. I just had a pair shipped from Boston, MA to Tulsa, OK. It cost me right at $100 and they got here in 3 days. Use FORWARD AIR, Inc as your transporter. Their the cheapest.
Deang
I would stick with the older version if possible. http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?spkrfull&1066402997 There is a forum owned shipping crate for the Cornwalls that is having the skid replaced. It is currently in the possession of Audible Nector (Dave Heckert). Just start a new topic asking about the thing and he'll pop in.
fini
Those Corns could be a nice score, esp. for someone in So. CA. fini
Frzninvt
I would be careful with that seller in RI (Andy), those black CW II's are a relist and the '68's he sold my brother in law one of them had a malfunctioning crossover and a woofer completely missing and now he will not respond to his calls and email. Proceed with caution!!! He has them crated and ready to go at the forward air terminal already. Be careful!
