garymd
Jim, I don't think I have that one but I have about 4 others I got at the library for 50 cents each. I hate to break the seal though. Are they good recordings?
Audio Flynn
I love the off the wall stuff. No one on the forum has ever heard Douglas Spotted Eagle. I have referenced hime several times. Hand carved Cedar flutes and Drums made from Animal hides. I do not know what these instruments sound like in the live nearfield experience but his CDs are quite cool. Old Age/New Age I am not sure but lovely to listen to. NAXOS organ CDs are cheap and very impressive classical works. I will have to find some vinyl organ music. All my organ is on CD. synthfreek
I own a few Douglas Spotted Eagle as well as several R. Carlos Nakai discs. I think I've heard of almost everyone! I have stacks of organ favorite type of records too. I'll go through them and find a few I especially like.

garymd
My latest library score this week included only 1 organ lp: "Organ Spectacular, Noel Rawsthorne at the Organ of Coventry Cathedral." Looks to be unplayed. Anyone heard of it or this Noel guy? I'm not much of an organ fanatic but I'll try just about anything.
garymd
Forgot to mention my favorite of what I picked up this week. A sealed 2 record set of TV theme songs from the 50s and 60s hosted by Don Pardo. Now that'll be great at parties! 65 songs in all. You name it, it's on there. synthfreek
I have 5 discs made by TeeVee Toons filled with original tv theme songs. Here's the fun part...a drinking game! Load all the discs into a cd shuffler and hit random. First one to guess the tv show gets to choose who drinks. If that guess is wrong he/she drinks. Trust me, you DON'T wanna play with me. I know 'em all. I can even instantly name crap like 77 Sunset Strip, Mr. Magoo, Knight Rider and Room 222.
garymd
I'm an expert too which drew me to this lp. I'll take you on anytime. BTW, I also take bets on knowing the background music from old tv shows. It'll be hard to put this one in the cd shuffler since it's vinyl. The recording's okay, but the music's great. Noel's a well known organist in the UK, and has made quite a few recordings there. My granddad had a few LPs of Jesse Crawford playing a Hammond B3 back in the late 50's and early 60's. It wasn't a mighty WurliTzer, but the popular music he performed was steller. Another great organist who died in '98 was George Wright, who made many theatrical/popular organ recordings both on pipe and electronic organs; check out his discography online.
