many years ago I spent a lot of money on a set of Klipsch speakes  they are in a light oak cabinet, approx 31" tall, approx 13.5" wide and the plate says approx 4.2kg   SN is 105297250  THAT is all , no model, no date, nothing.  would anyone have access to SN look ups for these?  wattage, model,  are they part of a new model lineup?  year?  anything is appreciated.

thank you

The speaker model is Klipsch KG 4.2 Oak veneer  , Made in 1992

I have an interesting one that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have a pair of Heresy 2's that, according to the serial number records, were build the week of Jan 15, 1986. However, according to the work order tag I found on the inside the cabinet shop built them 10/1/86 and the sanding dept sanded them on 10/2/86....

Is this normal?? Did did they issue batch serial numbers then just not build the product until they needed it?

Hello, I'm looking at a used set of vintage Heresy speakers but the SN's aren't coming back to legit #'s.  Any assistance in deciphering these would be greatly appreciated.  The have the faded out label with stamped number of:

G535754 and G535784.  I can't find any info with a letter as the first character in a Klipsch SN.

The second 5 is probably an S in each.  Disregard G and look up When an S serial number was made and that should be the year.

There’s threads stickied all over the forum that help decode info like that.

Hi

i just found a website where you can put in your Klipsch Serial Number and it will tell you when they were made.  It’s great and super easy to use and no personal information is needed. Here is that link.

There are 2 links in the posts above yours that can help you, it appears your Cornwall "Decorator" (with 15" woofer) is from 1963-64 (the "B" designation is the year).  Not sure where you live but if you're interested there's another C-D-15 for sale near Boston, MA.  It's in pretty rough shape and a bit overpriced IMHO.

OK folks, here's one for ya--just bought a single Klipsch Cornwall, actually still in pretty nice shape cosmetically, and sounding just fine, as it should---I've looked over the tables of serial numbers, and looked them over again, but cannot find anything that would help me to decipher just when these were manufacured, the speaker is OLD, that I can tell, but can anyone tell me more?  Type is "C.D. 15", and serial number is "3B50".  Not much doubt as to those being correct, as they are handwritten on the rear label, as well as on both the Owners Registration Card, and Change of Address Card attached to the rear...C.D. 15 and 3B50.  Any help would be much appreciated.  THANKS

Must have missed this:

Must have missed the part stating that the Cornwalls used A for 1963, and B for 1964, and that the first one used 3A09, same four-place serial number as mine has---had I seen that it would have helped, don't know how I missed it, thanks!  By the way, as I'm missing this as well, but how do the numerals in the serial number 3A09 indicate it as being shipped in August? And, even better, what would that make mine, being 3B50?  Thanks for the help!
