MrMcGoo
I think that a Heritage center channel should be a high priority for Klipsch. One need only look at the Academy sales on eBay to see the potential. A Heritage center channel that is video shielded would sell well and would help propel new sales of Heritage speakers. Many folks cannot fit a Belle Klipsch into a theater as a center channel. Bill
kev313
I'm not saying a Heritage center wouldn't be a great idea, or that I wouldn't buy one myself, but there is very little chance that Klipsch will pop one of those out. Your talking about a company that has apparently already done alot of groundwork on what could be an excellant speaker (Jubilee), but has done nothing about it. Klipsch does NOTHING to promote their Heritage line. Nothing. The have it on the website. That's it. Until about a year ago, my closest Heritage dealer was in the next state. I live in Chicago. The point being, I don't think alot of folks are buying new 5.1 Heritage HT setups. Without a major marketing and distribution push, they never will. I just don't see Klipsch shelling out the R&D cost to appease a very likely miniscule percentage of their consumer base. Hell, most people with Heritage HT setups, if one goes by talk on the forum, got their speakers used.
Vavoline
I have no misconceptions. I know dang well Klipsch won't build it. I was just saying I would be willing to plunk down hard earned cash if they DID. Basically, just wishfull thinking.
ZAKO
Vav.....Well you can get part of it from Klipsch cinema pro. Place the B&C HF driver with a sutible horn on top of bass bin. It doe,snt have to be tracktrix.
Vavoline
If I had the room for that, I would use a fifth cornwall, which would be ideal. I'm talking about a true center, about the size of an academy or RC-7.
Griffinator
Which, of course, won't hang with your big Heritage mains....
Guest Anonymous
i think a heritage center channel could potentially save their heritage line.... and who ever brought up JBL forget them! There is only room in the free-trade market to worry about yourself not what everyone else is doing because if you coppy your competitors you will be phased out in no time ie look at the discount airlines the ones following are all in ch 11 marketing is key who ever brought up newsweek time etc that is a great idea.... and offering more vinyl vineers on synergy line would be great as well i personally will never buy a black speaker there comes a time when everyone must cut there losses and its sad to say, but there might be a time when that happens with heritage you can't run a buisness and loose money on a product its just not possible. this is the reality, klipsch may be bleeding as a company from their heritage line (do any of us really know if they are making any money from heritage?) Guest Anonymous
I wish Klipsch had the jubilee available right now, cause I just had a pair of speakers custom imade and they are no longer klipsch I love Klipsch, but I do not have, and cannot make corners for the khorn oh well, one day, I hope Klipsch, please please please, make them, and I will buy
Marvel
How tall is the bass section on the KHorn? Reading Andy's post about the Jubilee being smaller has me wondering. Three twelves (two active and one passive) with even just an inch between them and an inch top and bottom would make the cabinet at least 40" tall on the inside. I though the KHorn bass bin was around 43", maybe even a little shorter. It has its own corner, so to speak, so the width may be a bit narrower. It's just my curiosity more than anything. Marvel
Klipsch has stopped paying the patent maintenance fee to the U.S. Patent Office for this item most likely. While everyone was complaining about it, Dennis went looking for answers.
fini
IMHO, a great Heritage center would be a Khorn (with false corners), and a plasma screen on the front of the bass bin. Wouldn't really need the bass bin for a center, though. So, a HF section with the screen above or below.
