dmk Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Watched the DVD last night and was disappointed. Not that great of a story line. Effects and sound were good, but T2 is definitely much better. Just my $0.02 Doug Quote
damonrpayne Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Oh, yes. I saw it in the theatres. There is a T3 thread somewhere in this forum. Quote
marksdad Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 you are sooooo right dmk, it was quite a let down after all the hype, and the only good part was the explosions, not enough to watch a movie for. Quote
pinipig523 Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 i liked it... i thought it was great entertainment! Quote
easylistener Posted November 15, 2003 Posted November 15, 2003 I watched it last night and I thought it was pretty good. I also think that movies today are becoming long previews for the sequels. I think T4 will be great. Quote
Bill H. Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 I rented it lastnight. Other than the limited chase scenes, the plot was Very weak. When it ended, I was Stunned -thinking is this it? I felt like I was left hanging...........where was the rest of the story. Hope Arnold does a better job as the Goven-a-tor.... Quote
TheEAR Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 Agreed T2 is by far the best Terminator ever.A true classic Quote
wheelman Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 T2 rules but T3 kicked arse. Of course T2 rules we have so many memories of it. T3 is a great movie for what it is. I did think it went by quick i wanted more. Quote
mineral Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 blah, i knew that movie was going to suck the moment they started pre-production. when cameron said he wasn't going to spend 3 years of his life elevating someone else's franchise, i was like, pffff, gonna be a stinker. that notwithstanding the fact that they got this b-movie writers to come up with a story and screenplay...egad. miscasting, and rather un-cameron like acting perverted the movie even more. effects were good, but lifeless. the setup's didn't ring of terminator level...it was a extremely well financed b-movie. cameron all the way. whadyasay Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 Although I feel that Mostow did a respectable job given the material he was working with, this is Cameron's baby, and if it wasn't going to be him writing/directing/producing, then it didn't really have a chance. At best, it felt as though it were the season finale of Teminator: The Series on Sci-Fi Channel or something. Quote
Colin Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 I saw T3 on HBO last night. Although the plot was weak, they did keep it simple and the chase scene down the street with the crane was incredible. I am using the slim solid-state Roksan Capasian integrated amplifier with my classic Klipsch corner Khorns and the sound was incredible. Arnold doesnt really act. Then I watched Pirates of the Caribbean and Johnny Depp showed me what acting really is, but then he always has. Quote
damonrpayne Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 I was underwhelmed by ALL the acting in that movie, and there weren't any particularly good effects IMHO either. Johnny Depp was great, his character in Pirates seemed sorta like his character in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" Quote
pinipig523 Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 depps great at pretending to be kooky! great guy! Quote
wheelman Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Johnny Depp is the man, and already as good as some of the best there is. He will be flat out phenominal in a few more years. Which I think he is already, and has been. Quote
damonrpayne Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 I saw an interview with Quentin Tarantino where he said Johnny Depp is high on the list of people he really wants to work with. I'm not Tarantino's biggest fan but he tends to get great performances out of the people he works with, I'd love to see Depp on screen with a Tarantio script. Quote

What are you talking about? What do you mean sorry? Are you replying to a light hearted post of mine beginning with word SORRY? What's that all about man. Quote
pinipig523 Posted June 20, 2004 Posted June 20, 2004 kristanna loken is hot... i dont understand how damon is sorry. Quote
damonrpayne Posted June 20, 2004 Posted June 20, 2004 I meant my reply in a lighthearted way too! Naked hoties made species a decent film; T3 could have benefitted from more nakedness... Quote
