gtDark
Tired of juggling 4 remotes and pretty much sure I'm going to get a Home Theater Master MX-500. Where is a good place online to buy remotes? I've done a few searches on this forum for past threads and haven't seen any links to sellers. Thanks in advance. MarkBK
I picked up a Philips Pronto Neo for 79.90 - refurbished - full mfg warranty for J&R Electronics about 4 weeks ago - normally 199.00. Also found many programmed configurations for it on remotecontrol.com. It's replacing 5 remotes! An very nice unit.

richr8
I bought my MX700 on line from Etronics. It was $169. delivered in three days. I haven't had to touch any of my other four remotes since I programmed my MX. Great unit!
wrench_peddler
I just won a bid on a JBL/Microsoft Take Control TC-1000 on Ebay. It cost me about $75. It is a touch screen w/backlight. You can program in commands to turn on and set your system up for what ever you are going to do. (watch a movie, listen to cd, listen to FM) I haven't received it but it sure looks cool. DrPyro
I'm with Rich on this one. I also have a HomeTheaterMaster MX-700, it has been a fantastic remote and easy to program. It REQUIRES a computer to program, but I find that a huge advantage since I have continually tweaked the macros and I can backup to an "old" version of the remote. The only problem I have had is controlling my HTPC with Girder, since I have to select a device first, then program girder, but I don't have that problem anymore since I now use an IR Keyboard on the HTPC. There are two companies that sell the MX-700 that have a very good reputation on RemoteCentral.com, so check there for info. One of them is Bluedo.com or something like that. -Dave

Found it on newegg.com for $99 with free shiping.
