Shorty is getting married!

Recommended Posts

I just got word from New Orleans that Lily's boyfriend will be coming up the river next week to stay! Being somewhat conservative, we have talked to the boyfriend's family and all parties have agreed they need to get married. Lily is a birch blond with freckles, while her boyfriend is a tall dark mahogany stranger. He also is slightly older, being born in 1956, while Lily admits that she is also over fourty, with her naissance occuring in 1959.

We have ordered cane cloth so they will wear matching cream and brown for their special day. The blushing bride has requested a small ceremony, so look for photos forthcoming in the forum. I hope no one is offended that a set of our speakers will be getting married, but it will be a civil service with no Heresys to be forthcoming.2.gif

I got an e-mail from avman today, and what better to say than quote his own words -

"WOW!! what a cool looking/sounding speaker!!

a REAL tribute to Klipsch build/design.

mike had it hooked up to a receiver, and it sounds fine!

i will make arrangements to pack/ship tomorrow."

In St. Louis, the most important aspect of your life is where you went to high school. It really blows peoples' minds when i say Peoria.11.gif

With Tino manufactured in 1956 and Lilly in 1959, it would be very interesting to guess what was first played on each as well!

I think prior to marriage, they should try and figure out when exactly each other were manufactured.

You know, they should date each other.

sheltie dave-

man! can this speaker put out some spl's!!

i hooked it up to a 400 W.P.C. solid state amp and opened up the volume all the way!

who would have guessed it could exceed 125dB!!

i turned it down when it started smoking.

>>>>>JUST KIDDING!!!!<<<<<<2.gif9.gif

i have some more 'shipper shopping' to do today to assure shorty arrives in one piece,so he will probably go out tomorrow. he remains safe and warm, and should sound great when paired w/his s.o.
