HELP!!! Looking for Scott "G" Case!!!

That is probably what I will do Allan. I have an extra screen/cage so I am good on that. I will make an exact duplicate of the original. Routered relief for the faceplate, cut out for OEM screen, the whole enchilada2.gif.

You are right Tom, this will work great. At most, a cleaning of the screen and some #0000 Steel wool to the case followed by a few coats of boiled linseed oil(if this case is oiled like the other one I have)and she will be good as new. This 296 is really going to come together as a helluva piece!

Yes, I would love to own a 296 myself someday. I'll wait for a nice one to come along.

Right now I am learning to just be happy with my 272 and Mark III's.

you can scroll through the info and see which models fit in the different style cases. Looks like the 272 took an FW or FWW case, same as a 399. The case you want would be much scarcer and harder to find.
