dbngaa
i was up checking out my soon-to-be new home in memphis this weekend, and while perusing the local paper i happened accross an ad for a new movieplex opening nearby. among the ammenities listed were ALL KLIPSCH SPEAKERS! i, of course, let out a cry of suprise and delight. my friends were curious as to my exclamation...Klipsch speakers, i told them, in the new malco cinema! they weren't impressed at first, but i reminded them of my very large, great sounding home speakers and told them who made them. then they understood. so here's looking forward to some great sounding movies (hopefully in DTS). david
HornEd
Good news, David. Klipsch theater speakers are as close to a standard in better theaters in most of the movie going world. Most likely every great movie experience you have had has been a Klipsch experience. I think the U.S. numbers are better than 50% of all theaters are Klipsch installations. Feast your eyes on the "Cinema Series" under "Commercial Audio" on the Klipsch Home Page... your ears have been feasting on them for years... Guest BobG
Klipsch supplies several of the largest Cinema chains in the US. There is a theater in Memphis where it is possible to listen to about half a dozen competitive speaker systems. What happened when they did? They chose Klipsch! Go to Regal theaters near you and check for the sign which may be up indicating the new installations are Klipsch systems.
Seb
While I haven't heard all speaker styles in the world, and therefore cannot say for sure, I find it's not so surprising that horn designs are far superior to any other for spectacular movie soundtracks. And who better than the horn company, Klipsch, to provide the horn sound to a movie theater?
boomer9911
I don't think we have them out West either Seb, not that I have heard of(I'd be there in a flash). Do you have any info BobG of any Canadian theaters with the Klipsch set up? I would think Vancouver or Toronto would be on the list. thanx. Guest BobG
Maybe we should do a "Klipsch Theater Locator" on this web site. You could put in a zip code (postal code in Canada) and find the nearest Klipsch powered theater (theatre in Canada ;-))

tarche
We've got a 24 screen stadium theater outside of Philly (Regal 24 Marketplace at Oaks) that is all Klipsch. It's about 2-3 years old and sounds great. However, I still prefer DVD's in my Klipsch'ed family room. --Tom
T2K
Well boa,the wife has never complained,at all, about da Klipsch's.Well, she DID say she didn't like the center sub idea. With the sub in front of the 53" RP,it would be in her way vacumming.I thought it looked spiffy, and sounded spiffier.I'll try it again soon. RossVTaylor
I was pleasantly surprised a few weeks ago when a coworker of mine told me he'd seen the Klipsch logo in a new theater here in town. It struck him that this was the same speaker name I'd mentioned soooooo many times, and he took notice. It seems that this is an excellent marketing move on Klipch's part! Jo-Jo
If anyone knows of theaters that use Klipsch speakers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I'd be interested to know. I'd be curious to watch a good action movie and see the difference. As far as I know, none of the theaters around here use Klipsch.
