JJJeffries
Hello Fellow and Lady Posters: With the demise of Audio and Stereo Review, what audio magazines are still out there? I subscribe to AudioXpress. Great articles and they have a solid background in tubes. Best, Craig Standard broadcast equipment. Too numerous to mention!
chops
I get Stereophile and Sound&Vision.
JJJeffries
Hello Fellow Posters and Lady Posters: PS: LOL! Gray matter its a guy thing. LOL! I also subscribe to Stereophile and the absolute sound. Come to think of it, where's my latest copy? LOL! Best, Craig Broadcast standard equipment. Too numerous to mention!
Ray Garrison
I was thinking about this, and realized how many of the mags I subscribed to have gone to the Happy Hearing Ground in the sky... Audio Fi Listener Ultimate Audio Positive Feedback (now online, but it's not the same...) TAS has gone, and come back, and gone, and come back... I still get Stereophile (have since before Atkinson came on board), Sound & Vision, Hi Fi News and TAS... Do other specialist interest publications have such a high mortality rate? Or is it just us? Colin
Stereophile, the more I read it, the more I understand the value of their graphs...
ZAKO
I read them but I dont inhale.
jhawk92
I get S&V, TAS, and TPV. All three have their good points and bad points, but think they give a pretty good overview of what's out there. With TAS, they get a bit pricey, but always nice to dream.
D-MAN
I lament that StereoPile is apparently the only one left alive. Maybe I'm wrong but - I miss the "higher class" stuff... DM
Audible Nectar
None. I have an internet connection.....and I learned more using it than from the audio/video mags. If a unit really is good and worthwhile, I'll generally find out about that here, or by way of other audio related sites. Taking a unit and throwing it to the internet wolves has a way of shaking the BS out of such unit.
jdm56
If it wasn't for the fact I can't roll up my computer and take it to the john with me, I'd probably dump all three of my audio-rag subscriptions; Stereophool, S&V and The Stereophool Guide To Home Enema. I still miss AUDIO.

ZAKO
I notice that Vacum Tube Vally issue #19 is been out about a year now, Are they out of the publishing buisiness?
artto
ZERO. I gave up on all of them years ago. The high volume distribution slicks just keep re-running the same info after a few years. And I swear, it seems the high-end mags just seem to use the same arsenal of 'articles' and "insert the equipment of the month" as needed
Dave in ABQ
The usual suspects Stereophile and The Albsoulte Sound are my monthly poisons. I enjoy the "budget and value" gear reviewed, and oogle at the pretty pictures. Stereophile has the more entertaining reader's mail. The Uber $$$$ stuff makes me feel small and insignificant in the universe. I don't want to start a flame war here, but $15,000 for a pair of interconnects seems a wee bit on the looney side, not to mention the mega $$ gear that goes with it. I have no knowledge of whether one can percieve differences between a very good cable/wire/amp etc., and a "Golden Ear" awardee, but I'll leave that for the more financially fortunate and those who have a greater need for more, better, and more again philosophies. Only my goofy opinion, No insults intended.

picky
I still get 'Sound & Vision' and 'Audio Video Interiors' which just recently was renamed, 'Connected: Guide to the Digital Home'.
Dave in ABQ
Dave .....Your a voice of the sane instead of the voice of the insane. Maron Horonzak My wife would disagree with you. "Don't inhale" I love that.
dantfmly
i thought stereo review was renamed sound and vision. I used to suscribe to stereo review. but i have a family no mags for me, rather save every penny i can for the system, use the internet now.
