Michigan Horn and Tube meeting October 2

Kegman,

I'm sure we will have another get together soon. But in the mean time if you feel like driving up to Burton for a visit I'm sure you will be overwhelmed with all the gear I have here. I run my Tube Audio repair business here at my house so I'm always here and your welcome anytime as long as you give me some notice.

Kegman,

I little warning, if you take Craig up on his offer you may never (want to) leave once you enter his lab.6.gif

Just spoke with craig on the phone and I may go see him this weekend seems like a good guy!

I'm on his website right now! Wow! Impressive how

indeapth he seems to be.

Your right though I may get lost in the world of little glowing bottles!

spoke with him a little on one of my st70's seems he's got the same mod with some suggestions.

(I'm intrigued)

If you think that's impressive just wait until you have heard tube monos on big old horns. 2.gif

We did have a cool time.

Pick a configuration and stick with it for 45 minutes or so to really get a chance to get a feel for it.

A little vinyl, a little SACD and a little upsampled Redbook.

It would be nice to do a get together in the early winter to break up the monotony.

It would be nice to hear the RC-7 with tube amps.

I have lead filled Sanus stands.

Mike Whell picked up the Carver digital amp since the last meeting.

I'd be up for a winter get together.

And yes I'm really enjoying the rc-7's with my rogue 88 amp.

I'd be willing to hall them over someones place to see what others think.

Could probably use the stands too as I've got a makeshift setup right now.

Anyway's just me thinking outloud.

Well went over craigs yesturday and we did some good work on my st70.

Quick listen sounds realy realy good will get a chancce this week

to listen more.

This st-70 I did the tubes for hifi board mod http://www.tubes4hifi.com/ST70.htm

Talked with craig and he had some others he does to the unit after the board mod.

Craig and I were talking about this, more people need to hear this mod!

An st-70 with this mod is an incredable amp!

Anyone with an st-70 needs to try this mod or get an st-70 and do this mod!

What a major improvement over the stock board, it's a whole new amp!

Craig scoped this baby all out and I was quite impressed with what we

saw on the scope. No more drop in low end performance and now the amp

is truly flat accross the spectrum! He even showed me we were getting

42 watts a channel with a clean waveform. wwhhoooohooo!

Thanks craig I feel truly confident in this amp now!

If you really want Craig to welcome you, give him a carton of Marlboros.----------------

Guess what Kegman brought as a gift Paul LOL !!

Facilitating Craig's vice?

What a suck up.

I usually throw his smokes on the floor and stomp on them.

Then blame it on the dogs.

If that doesn't work then I run.

Run away, run away....
