KCM
For sale is my pair of '72 Cornwall Vert's. CWO finish with risers. These are in really nice condition, just a few slight imperfections: There are a few light marks on the cabinet tops. These are not easily seen and would be completely removed with a light sanding. There are a couple small chips in the risers. One on the rear corner of one speaker riser, the other on the side of the second speaker riser so they can't normally be seen. The grills haven't faded quite evenly. One has a slightly "grey" appearance, the other is more "gold". You can only notice this in direct light. I would prefer not to ship these, but that may be an option later if it becomes necessary. They are located 30 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, PA. Asking $1100.

Chris Robinson
KCM, you have mail as well. Add my name to the list of interested buyers. They look lighter than my CWO's, but they are quite beautiful. Where do you live? Up near Butler, or east of there? Very pretty part of the country! _______________________________ Music Hall MMF-7 Turntable w/ Goldring Eroica H MC Njoe Tjoeb 4000 CDP with 24 bit/192 KHz Upsampling Wright Sound WPP-100C Phono Stage JF Lessard Pantheon 6SN7 SRPP Preamp w/ RCA 5R4GY & Sylvania 6SN7 JF Lessard Horus Parafeed Cobalt 2A3 Monoblocks w/ Tung Sol 5687 & AVVT 2A3 1976 KCBR Klipschorns with ALK Crossovers Gear Online: Two Channel & Home Theater Systems
KCM
Hi Chris, They're actually in my office now which is east of Butler, near Freeport. I'm currently traveling 60 miles each way to work and that is part of the reason for selling. Need to dump some ballast for an impending move...... popbumper
Beautiful part of Pa., for sure; went to Summer camp for many years of my youth in Butler, the "mountains" were gorgeous as were the spring-fed streams. We also had a hunting camp up near Smethport/Emporium (further East), in the middle of nowhere; now there are some outstanding visual memories!! Chris Robinson
Yeah, the trip from Boston borders on the ridiculous, but it's only a road trip. An overnight stay in a hotel on "points", and $100 for a rental car ... I've done worse. These clean ones just don't come up too often! Frzninvt
Chris, those should go nice with the '68 Mahogany Verticals I did not really want to part with them, but for a pair of Khorn's is was not that painful. I have the '77 Khorn's now and I an running 4 Khorn's and my '62 Verts. Love it! Boy did my brother in law bring the tops of those '61's back or what - Wow! I don't recall that he replied to my inquiry as to how he accomplished that My opinion on the match as well. Distances are simply driven. Time and availability is capricious. My humble opinion, anyway.
coda
Just placed my '76 Cornwalls on their sides so I could hear how they might sound as "verts", have a feeling it's not quite the same thing.. anyone ever see or hear a vert set up horizontally with risers like the Decorator Model in this pic? I own both types. IMHO the port should be coupled to the floor. BUT, the HT guys love the verts. Verts make good centers on their sides. Two channel or HT. My two cents. Chris Robinson
Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on this pair. I was just telling KCM that I told my wife I was going to grab these, and she kicked my *ss out of bed. I guess there is a limit to how much a spouse can take. Sorry about this. Hey guys, these are rare and beautiful. Someone please grab these!
KCM
Back on the block, eh ? Here's another shot of the cabinet tops...... edit: why do these photos look so blurry after I upload them ? They're very clear on my computer......
