3dzapper
"Jerry Orbach, the versatile stage and film actor whose portrayal of the wry Det. Lennie Briscoe helped make NBC's long-running "Law & Order" show a hit for a dozen seasons, died of prostate cancer Tuesday at a New York Hospital." "Brisco" is gone. How sad. milton10
Yes, very sad indeed. He was also the voice of Lumiere in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."
MrMcGoo
Jerry Orbach will be missed. He did excellent work in everything that he was in. Prostate cancer is usually slow, but this one was as fast as I have ever encountered. Bill
Jay481985
I just heard on the news as I was watching a Law and Order that happen to be a rerun of last season with him included. Very sad, I heard he made a spin off law and order too.

dodger
Lt. Lennie Briscoe, NYPD Ret., has passed. Lt. Briscoe was an inspiration to many watching the Original Law And Order. Lt. Briscoe will be sadly missed. He has joined the Supervisory Ranks of the Heavenly Patrol. Lt. Briscoe's passing is in full conformance with regulations for an Honor Guard Funeral. A formal toast of soda water will take place after Completion of His Funeral. Jerry, you'll be missed. You brought respect to Police Officers. That is well beyond Acting. Rest Peacefully, your watch here is over. dodger

Myhamish
Jerry Orbach in his role as Lieutenant Brisco breathed life into a fictional being. Brisco was one of the most believable characters ever. Thanks for the memories. A wee dram will be raised to Jerry Orbach when I get home tonight. Slainte Mhath. dodger
In today's newspaper, they mentioned filkming for some of the spin-off "Law and Order: The Jury," had begun. Those episodes will air when they decide to start running the show. I was disappointed at how they just let him leave on "Law and Order." I hope a proper tribute is given. Jerry earned it and deserves it. dodger
