The LaScalas can be ordered from Klipsch with black grill and logo but you have to make the outside frame out of Baseshoe moulding i made mine out of oak baseshoe moulding turned out great.Dont use 1/4 round it doese not work right. If you order them from Klipsch they come with velcro to stick right on to,,,cool huh,,Rick

sorry, I'll edit the double post.

I suppose instead of using the below named (balsa wood), you could also get from the hobby shop some Gator Foam, a very stable material used to mount photos and artwork. It's dense foam with a heavy plastic skin on either side, won't warp and also takes the spray adhesive. Easy to cut with Utility Knife.

I made a grill for my LaScala with simpler components.

I went to the local hobby shop and bought the wood used to build

models for $3.25 and some velcro then acquired the grill clothe

from Kevmosmith and made a templete.

Here's the results :

DeanG :

You won't believe this ....but I bought my BLACK LaScala

from the member whom started this exact post, Kevmosmith .

( KEVIN SMITH )

I also got the grill cloth from him.

(Thank you sincerly Kevin)

I am so curious why he is asking about the grill cloth.

The phone number of where the material came from

is on the shipping tube ...that I returned to him a week ago !!!

Kevmosmith :

Haven't you looked on the shipping tube

for the phone number of that material seller located in California ???????

Great point, Rick.

I sometimes desire the "hands-on" approach with my passion towards improving my rig.

If I can do it myself, my first thought is to just build it instantly myself,

instead of praying and waiting weeks for orders to get here on time.

It just happens to be that I received the LaScala grill cloth complementary from Kevin Smith .

My LaScala Grill cost me about $5 to make, thanx to Kevin !!!

While i also like to make stuff myself because im poor but i also understand if we as Klipsch owners dont buy some stuff from Klipsch and help keep workers in Hope working we may not have any Hope of any parts at all.I bought mine last year for my LaScalas not sure what i paid but i dont think it was 50.00 apiece though.Rick
