You can hear every nuance and the noise from the recording process has been deleted. Brian Jone's sitar work was never lovlier.
theryugobuddy
Genesis Archive from 1967 to 1974 with Peter Gabriel fronting -- great music unearthed, especially the entire "The Lamb Lies down on Broadway" live before anybody in the audience had even heard it! I also love Thelonious Monk's 1962-1968-- Charlie Rouse blowing the sax alway gets me--
coda
Colter, these are the UK remasters on SACD hybrid, some further details on the restoration effort. . Thought Music Direct had sold out earlier but looks like they have a few copies left, the best price available new or used I believe. I have a few myself. My favorite is Deutsche Grammaphone's box set of Beethovens 9 symphonies. Pretty decent recordings and performances for a classical set. ---------------- All Karajan? I grabbed a single disc a while back, I'm trying to remember which. I haven't been moved to listen to much legit stuff, but I buy the goods when I see it. I know I'll get back into eventually, and I want to have it around when I do.
