Tom Adams
I hate to be the bearer of bad news folks, but one of our most dearly used terms for things we don't know the name of has been registered by Shakespear Electronics. While installing a VHF antenna on my boat this past weekend, I had to install a PL-259 connector on the antenna coax. And there in black-n-white it was. The rubber strain relief thingy was called out. DooDad. With the registered trademark symbol. Sad day. Sad day indeed. Tom

JJkizak
I kind of like "Dingus" myself. It has such broad scope and appeal. JJK
colterphoto1
Well, you wouldn't get far in life without saying 'is'. We are no longer the knights who say 'ni', we are now the knights who say 'icky icky ptang zoop boing'! ironwoods
We can still use the correct spelling of DewDad. It could have been more appropriate for their product, in that, it also helps to keep moisture out?

It's my understanding that Shakespeare has employed M*nster Cable's law firm to go after folks that try to use variations of the word DooDad. Seriously - that's what I heard.
