NOSValves
Great deals but I have to ask why?
Deang
Probably because he likes the sound of the Merlin and his Dynacos.

Erik Mandaville
The Wrights are GREAT 2A3 amps, as is the JuicyMusic Peach preamp. In my opinion, the two would make for a very good long-term preamp/am combination. Erik

Guy Landau
I'm really surprised that no one had grabbed the Wrights by now. They're a bargain at the asking price. Maybe Audiogon would be a better place to list them.

Today, I think that you gave me a more definitive answer to my Peach vs Merlin question than you did last week.[:-*] Still, a great deal on the Peach. laurenc319
hi, For those who may be interested here's a long review of the Wright 2a3 amps on audio asylum http://www.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.pl?forum=tubes&n=17828&review=1 A good apprasial imho. I have Forte I's driven by a Cary SLI-80 amp and Cornwalls I's driven by the Wrights and an AES preamp. I listen to the Wrights every chance I get. I'll play a cd on the Forte's and then play the same on the Cornwalls and am astounded by the additional transparency of the music. Everything the review says is true, I've experienced the same, agree with the reviewer and can wholehaeartedly endorse these amps. good listening, Larry

NOSValves
I can't believe that Peach is still unsold at that price. I'm sure it has had excellent care.
Erik Mandaville
"I'm sure it has had excellent care." This couldn't be more true. Dee handles his gear with great respect and care, and this Peach must be in extremely good condition. Erik

Erik Mandaville
Dee: I love the Baldwin! I look forward to just coming home and turning the system on to warm up for a bit, and that amp is here to stay. I was going to build some kind of bottom plate out of aluminium, but 1) I can't do that kind of work right now because of this pain in the donkey back (I hope donkey gets filtered -- if it doesn't I will edit my wording!!!) and 2) I want to keep it 'true to Will.' Daddy Dee
Erik, Thanks. That Baldwin is a battleship of an amp. Heck, it's older than you are! I never did settle on what I would have done to make the base for it. Keeping it true to Will's ambience is pretty cool, though.
IB Slammin
Dee, If I hadn't just bought Merlin, I would be all over it. Hot deal on the Peach! Terry PS: Note to fellow SS guys. The JM tube line-stage preamps in front of big nasty old SS mono blocks.....is just awesome. More comments later.
