Jeff Matthews
"Bad Sneakers"... and a Pina Colada, my friend! by Steely Dan. How 'bout this? "Biscayne Bay, where the Cuban gentlemen sleep all day." Name that Tune!
Jeff Matthews
JacksonBart, this one was for you. I thought you'd get it right away. Well, here's a hint (more lyrics): "You walked in And my life began again Just when I'd spent the last piaster I could borrow All night long We would sing that stupid song And every word we sang I knew was true" Now, I've made it easy. I wish I could take credit, I am not that good. It's actually from Steve Carell (former Daily Show, now the US version of the Office) in an interview he gave to the Philly Inquirer. Some of the others I have stolen in the past are from Steven Wright.
jacksonbart
Dr Wu, obviously was just listening to the album. This thread is so much easier when I am working from home since I have my MP3s on my home PC. Great tune.
jacksonbart
To change it up, still a great tune though "Crossroads, seem to come and go, yeah. The gypsy flies from coast to coast Knowing many, loving none, Bearing sorrow havin' fun, But back home he'll always run"

jacksonbart
The Album that this song first appeared was dedicated to a brother. Edit: My bad so was 'Brothers and Sisters' but this one was dedicated to Duane.
jacksonbart
More "Freight train, each car looks the same, all the same. And no one knows the Gypsy's name No one hears his lonely sigh, There are no blankets where he lies. In all his deepest dreams the Gypsy flies"

Your'e comin on like a hurricane. White lights are flashin across the sky, you're only young but you're gonna die. I have to head back to work so if you can't get it move along. Jeff Matthews
Okay, I'm lost. Looks like JustOne did not guess right. Now, that voids everything since his guess. But, what is the state of the current lyrics posted for challenge? Do they include "Hold on, me bucko--"? []
