picky
Our son brought this one over yesterday to watch with his son (our grandson) in our theater. The overall look of the movie's animation was top notch. Despite the fact that there is a lot of constant action on the screen in this movie, it did not seem to hold the attention of our 3-1/2 year old grandson nearly as well as did 'Robots'. The soundtrack was fairly lively and there were plenty of adult yucks in the movie. Overall, it was a good movie to watch once or twice, but I don't see myself buying a copy. Schurkey
I really liked Shreks I and II, and I really hated Shark Tale. I thought Madagascar was somewhere in-between. I just don't accept a lion and a zebra as best buddies.

Frzninvt
Love the penguins at the end! "Just Smile and Wave Boys!" I thought it was pretty entertaining, my little girl liked it.
kenratboy
I really liked it - but I am kinda a animal freak! The whole lion-not-eating-meat thing was annoying, but the sushi was an acceptable middle ground. Why can't we teach kids that lions kill and eat other animals? I mean, when I was in kindergarten, I knew what the death penalty was (I knew about the gas chamber, lethal injection, etc.) and knew about animals living and dying. Sheesh! formica
I mean, when I was in kindergarten, I knew what the death penalty was (I knew about the gas chamber, lethal injection, etc.)... Sheesh! You must be from Texas... My copy of the DVD doesn't have the extra Penguin featurette. Probably wasn't translated into french... they seem to be an@l about that here.... kenratboy
If by Texas you mean that San Francisco Bay Area (probably one of the most liberal parts of the USA), then yes. Come on, I was born in BERKLEY!!!
itsawomanthing
I wasn't excited about the movie itself - it wasn't as good as I thought it would be....the only thing that saved it for me was the penguins. The Penguin Christmas was a hoot -- they should have shelved the movie and let the feature-ette at the end be released on it's own. Forget the movie - go to the Penguins instead
