fletcherkane
Sounds like Mac went to the "Bose School of Audio Engineering" You can't get HIFI sounds from a box that small. Physics baby!

Larry1
This is a ideal time for Klipsch marketing to clobber Apple Computer by getting the press to compare the iGroove and iFi against the iPod Hi-Fi. You got tons of news clips about this product, get out there Klipsch and bang a few drums! Better yet let the press know that Apple secretly dropped selling the Klipsch iFi before coming out with this product.

If you make it they will buy..... what a horrible product..... Now wonder they stopped selling the iFi at apple, cause they don't want any competition........ its not really competition but..... The following quotes are from Steve Jobs: "Apple is reinventing the home stereo with the new iPod Hi-Fi, the first iPod accessory that adds true high-fidelity sound quality to the iPod." "IPod Hi-Fi's unrivaled acoustic performance and stunning design is at home in any room in the house." Personally I think Steve Jobs has spent too much time at Disney already . . he's living in fantasy land!

codhead
"The new home stereo unit is a 17-inch-wide white box about 7 inches high by 7 inches deep with a black grille. The iPod can be slipped into a dock on top of the unit, which also has a remote control and built-in handles, and can run on D-cell batteries. With the required six batteries, it weighs 16.7 pounds, Apple said." Now that's portable... if you like carrying around a bowling ball. jbsl
Ouch Duke that hurt!!!!![] Yeah but you won't be getting 104db out of Steve's spleakers.
Jay481985
actually they are rated 108 db at 1 meter hahah no distortion specs given though. Those are max peak volume
jbsl
If only Steve would have come out with these speakers 2 years ago I would have bought 10 pair and skipped my La Scalas.

Larry1
I hope Steve has a cast iron stomach because most comments about the iPod Hi-Fi from user community are not positive.
jbsl
Sorry I was never good at typing sarcasm!! I would not take ten of the Steve spleakers much less one! For the average ipod user though this will be enough. Most people want something to play the music and are not worried about 104db, bass going down to -3200000000000, this tube amp or SS amp, etc.
steamer
Joke, certainly Klipsch can compete with that, unfortunately the masses will buy. Greg
DrWho
Most people want something to play the music and are not worried about 104db, bass going down to -3200000000000... Ya know, -3,200,000,000,000 Hz is the same as 3,200,000,000,000 Hz but with inverted polarity...That's a freaken high note (I doubt air would even support it). Now if you're talking 1 / 3200000000000, then that's a fricken low note (closer to zero the better). [][][]
